Helping Hands Clubhouse Kenya (HHCK) is an international organization established in 2008 to offer communities a more holistic, inspiring and cost-effective grassroots solution for helping people who have a mental illness recover and reach their full potential.

Helping Hands Clubhouse Kenya (HHCK) implements the International Centre for Clubhouse Development (ICCD) model for reversing the devastating effects of mental illness on people and society

Mission
Helping Hands Clubhouse Kenya is dedicated in supporting persons with mental ill health overcome the effects of mental illness to become independent and productive citizens through engaging in activities that will improve their well being.
Vision
All persons with mental health problems sufficiently recover from the effects of mental illness, to realize their full potential, live fulfilling lives and gain the respect of family, co-workers, neighbours and friends.

Membership

Membership is open to anyone who has a diagnosis of a mental illness, unless the person poses a significant current threat to the general safety of the clubhouse community.

All members have equal access to every clubhouse opportunities

What we Offer

Case Management: Guide members through difficult life experiences which are often attributed to the symptoms of their mental illness. The case managers assess specific needs and goals of youth and select the most appropriate pathway to recovery Networking: Aims at networking and mainstreaming mental ill health in all sectors Participatory Work: Maximize full potential of members through participatory in shared workCase Management: Guide members through difficult life experiences which are often attributed to the symptoms of their mental illness. Projects

¨Social Support Unit: offers support to members and their families on information about mental illness, treatment and management, coping skills, prevention of relapse and education. This includes

-Monthly support groups conducted for members and their families

– Family-to-family meetings for family members

– Peer-to-peer meetings for members
